SPMU

Semi-permanent makeup is a non-surgical treatment that creates permanent markings on the face that look like a specific makeup product was applied. The prefix "semi" stands for the short-term effects of these permanent makeup treatments that usually last for a couple of years, depending on the procedure. The technique involves injecting pigment through a fine vibrating needle into the most superficial layers of the skin. The procedure is much less invasive than standard tattoos

Semi-permanent powder eyebrows, also known as powder brows, ombre brows, or shaded brows, is a semi-permanent make-up procedure for eyebrow enhancement. The artist inserts PMU pigments into the top layers of the skin with a SPMU machine (not a tattoo machine) using the dotting technique or pixelization. This technique mimics the effect of using a brow powder or pencil, offering a blocked-in appearance with depth, definition, and a more made-up look. It is great for people who already have full brows but want extra definition without the hassle of filling in the brows every day.

However, we require a full consultation and test patch prior to treatment. His clinic also photographs you before and after your treatment.

SPMU is suitable for nearly everyone and is especially recommended for clients that suffer with alopecia (hair loss), giving natural looking eyebrows and definition the contours of the eyes as well as the lips.

This is done as a two part (sometimes three part) procedure. The first treatment all the measurements are taken and a template created which the client agrees to prior to any work. then there is a healing / rest period of three to four weeks after the first procedure to allow for healing. As part of the healing the area will scab and dry out, exfoliate and fade, this is normal. (this process can leave the template patchy and uneven, this is normal). The second procedure is to re touch up and create any alterations required to the original template. Third session are only needed for if there is any stubborn areas to touch up pigment.

Touch up treatments vary and depend on: age, medication, skin condition, lifestyle, home care products etc. The average touch up is is approximately 9-12 months. Brows that have gone beyond touch ups, and that are too faded to touch up will require a new stet of brows.

Remember eyebrows are sisters and not twins, this means due to facial symmetry etc not every bow will be exactly the same as the other.

Eye liner or SPMU Lips is an excellent way of giving the eyes and lips natural looking definition, this clinic only offers natural looking eye liner and no extreme eyeliner styles and natural looking lip liner, no extreme looks outside of the vermillion boarder of the lip. Eyeliner and lip liner is a two part procedure (some times three). The first procedure is to create the initial template and the second procedure to perfect and darken with a 3-4 week healing period between each visit to allow for healing.
