Understanding Skin Moles and Modern Removal Techniques
Skin moles are a common type of benign skin growth and are usually harmless. However, moles located in highly visible areas can cause embarrassment and self-consciousness. If you have a mole in a place that makes you feel shy or awkward, mole removal is a common and effective procedure.
Introducing Thermology: A Modern Approach to Mole Removal
Thermology is an innovative mole removal method that does not involve surgery or chemical bleaching. This advanced technique provides an alternative to traditional surgical methods and can improve the appearance of disfiguring moles. Each mole is carefully assessed to ensure it is safe for removal.
How Does Thermology Remove Skin Moles?
During the treatment, heat penetrates the top layer of skin, targeting and dispersing the pigment within the mole. This process cauterises the root and removes the excess skin. Various thermology machines and lasers with different wavelengths are utilised, and multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results.
Post-Treatment Expectations
After your thermology treatment, you may notice that the treated mole, wart, verruca, or skin imperfection appears as a flat, heavily coloured or light-coloured scab, or even darker or red. This is normal and depends on your skin type. When the mole forms a scab, your body has begun the healing process, and it should come off in approximately two to eight weeks.
The skin underneath will be sensitive, so it's crucial to protect it. A consultation is required before treatment, and informed consent disclaimers must be completed. Thermology can effectively remove up to 21 different skin conditions, including:
Treatment Process and Aftercare
Thermology treatments begin with a thorough consultation. A small area may be treated initially to establish suitability for future treatments. Potential causes and the development of telangiectatic conditions will be discussed, along with aftercare advice.
Important Aftercare Instructions
The treated area will be sore, scabbed, and sensitive. Avoid using perfumed products on the treated area. Do not use saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, Jacuzzis, or fake tan applications until the area has completely healed. Avoid AHA's, BHA's and glycolic acid facials and creams on the treated area for up to three months after treatment. Taking oral zinc is recommended to promote fast healing.
Please send photos every 48 hours for ten days to your practitioner for a healing progress check, and a healed photo six to eight weeks later.
For professional and effective mole removal, consider thermology as a safe and modern solution.
